'Start them early', as they say!

Having previously worked in primary schools, I can deliver language and history related sessions, as well as cultural tasters, which could include some backing* and cooking* for smaller groups or whole classes.

Please let me know what your focus is and I will suggest how we could best achieve your goals. The main thing is to get children involved in speaking a modern language as young as possible and you never know you and your class might end up on a virtual or a real visit to a partner school in a German speaking country.

The Independent published an article by Professor Monika Schmid, Professor of Linguistics, University of Essex, addressing the issue which makes for an interesting read, especially the reasons why it is "both easier and more important for children to quickly become good in a second language they hear spoken around them."

NB: Food Technology sessions will require the host school to provide qualified staffing and all necessities, such as kit and ingredients.
